Sullivans Cove sells for record price for an Australian Whisky – The last bottle from cask number HH0274 that scored 95 points in the Whisky Bible is on its way to a happy collector.

Our Sullivans Cove Port maturation single cask whisky (HH0243) was awarded 3 ½ stars in the Winestate Magazine’s recent whisky tasting published in the July/August 2010 edition, Volume 33, Issue 4.  38 whiskies were tasted, however, this was the only Australian whisky to achieve an award of the four that were submitted.

The judges comments were:

Full-bodied aromas showing good age. Smooth, sweet palate with a little dried fruit character integrated with good wood. $150.
